Goddess sleeping

Fingers of light

cleave a dawn sky

grant a glimpse into

forever worlds

where myths & Gods

are born.

You lie beneath

an ocean deep

where sirens sing

seductive songs

to lull your sleep

deep in the womb

of winter.

The Dark Lord

softly strokes your hair

& you have slept

these thousand years,

your hands are cold

your heart is numb

you’re a frozen star:

like an arrow pulsing

back through time

we search your smile.

This melody is

calling you

to animate your

stone cold limbs

to breathe again

to dream of love:

but no one’s come

to take your hand

to lead you home.

Fingers of light

clasp a clear dawn

caresses cheek to

rosy hue, there’s

diamonds frosting

every lawn;

a crescent moon

a pale white sun,

you stretch in sleep

sing lilting songs

of warmer days

of spring to come

children’s laughter

swallows dive

a world restored

a world reborn.
